Image to video ads

## From a still image to a running ad

AdVideoLab is image-to-video made for advertising. A product photo goes in, and a short ad comes out with sound, movement and a hook, either with a creator or with the product on its own.

### From a still photo to a finished ad

Every video on this page started as a still product photo. Some became product films, some became creator videos.

Why generic image-to-video falls short

### Motion is easy. An ad is not.

1. **Animated photos are not ads** A slow zoom on a packshot is motion, but there is no hook, no voice, no call to action.
2. **General-purpose models drift** Ask a generic video model for “an ad” and the product changes shape, colour or label halfway through.
3. **Formats and lengths are wrong for paid** Ads need vertical framing, platform-safe lengths and a file you can upload without re-encoding.

How it works

### From image to ad

1. **Upload the image** JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF or HEIC up to 25 MB, between 300 and 6000 px per side. Phone formats convert automatically.
2. **Choose what kind of ad** UGC creator (person on camera), Single image (product cinematography), Transition (two frames) or Reference (a set of images).
3. **Brief it** Write the hook and camera move, or click Write with AI and edit the draft.
4. **Render and download** Pick aspect ratio, resolution and length (4 to 15s on Seedance 2.0, up to 30s on Seedance 2.5) and export the MP4.

The image-to-video guide

### Turning the product photos you already have into video ads

Most brands already have good photos: listing shots, packshots, lifestyle images from a shoot last year. Image-to-video turns those into moving ads, so the photo budget you already spent keeps working on TikTok, Reels and Shorts.

### What happens to your photo

The model uses your photo as the first frame and as the reference for what the product looks like. Your brief tells it what should happen next: the camera moves, a hand picks the product up, a creator holds it and talks. The result is a new video in which your product stays recognisably yours.

### Four ways to use one photo

| Mode | What the video shows | Example |
| --- | --- | --- |
| UGC creator | A person holding and talking about the product | A creator recommending your serum |
| Single image | The product itself, with camera moves and light | A slow orbit around a watch |
| Transition | Your photo turning into a second photo you upload | Messy shelf to tidy shelf |
| Reference | A scene built from several photos | Your product in a new setting with your brand props |

### Which photos work best

- **Product-only shots** on a clean background give the most faithful product films.
- **Photos with some context** (a hand, a table, a room) give more natural lifestyle videos.
- **High resolution** matters: the video can't be sharper than the photo.
- **No text overlays or watermarks.** The model may try to animate them.

### Seedance 2.0 or 2.5?

| | Seedance 2.0 | Seedance 2.5 |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Length | 4 to 15 seconds | 4 to 30 seconds |
| Resolution | Up to 1080p | 480p or 720p |
| Brief length | Up to 2,000 characters | Up to 5,000 characters |
| Aspect ratio | Your choice | Follows your photo |
| Best for | Short, sharp ads | Longer demos and stories |

See the [quality tiers page](https://advideolab.com/versions) for the full comparison.

### Price per video

Credits are charged per second of finished video. A 10-second 480p video on Seedance 2.0 costs 100 credits; at 720p it is 220. The $3.99 Trial Pass gives you 170 credits to try it once before you choose a plan.

FAQ

### Image to video ads: common questions

**What image formats can I upload?**

JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF and HEIC, up to 25 MB per file, between 300 and 6000 px on each side. Everything is converted to JPEG before it reaches the video model, so an iPhone HEIC works as well as a studio PNG.

**How is this different from a general image-to-video model?**

It is built for ads: the four modes, Write with AI, brand voice, personas and platform-ready output all assume the goal is a short ad about your product, not a generic animated clip.

**Can I turn two images into one video?**

Yes. Transition mode takes a first and a last frame and fills in the motion between them. Reference mode takes a whole set of images.

**How long can the videos be?**

Videos run 4 to 15 seconds on Seedance 2.0 (up to 1080p SR) or 4 to 30 seconds on Seedance 2.5 (480p or 720p). Pick the tier per render on the Generate page.

**How much does it cost?**

Plans are credit-based and self-serve: Starter $55/month for 1,000 credits, Growth $149 for 3,000, Scale $449 for 10,000. There is no free version, but a one-time $3.99 Trial Pass (170 credits) lets you see a real video first. Credits are charged per second of finished video. On Seedance 2.0, 480p costs 10 credits/second, 720p 22 and 1080p 37; on Seedance 2.5, 480p is 13 and 720p 28. A 10-second 480p ad on Seedance 2.0 is 100 credits.

**Do I need to film anything or hire creators?**

No. Upload a product photo, pick a mode and a language, and AdVideoLab generates the video. There is no filming, no casting and no studio. Failed renders are refunded automatically.
