## UGC ads with a creator holding your actual product

Creator mode puts an AI person on camera with your product, talking to the viewer with matching lips. All it needs is a product photo and a brief.

### Creator-style ads without hiring creators

Each of these started as one product photo. The person, the room, the voice and the lip-sync were generated to match the brief.

Why UGC is hard to source

### Real creators are slow, uneven and expensive per video

1. **Weeks from brief to file** Find a creator, ship the product, wait for the shoot, ask for revisions. The trend you wanted to ride has moved on.
2. **Quality varies wildly** Lighting, audio and delivery differ from creator to creator, so a batch never feels like one campaign.
3. **Avatar tools hide the product** A stock AI avatar reading a script is not UGC about your product. The product is the whole point.
4. **Multiple markets multiply the cost** One creator speaks one language. Five markets means five creators, five shoots, five invoices.

How it works

### From photo to UGC ad

1. **Upload your product photo** The creator is shown holding or using this exact product, not a placeholder.
2. **Pick a persona and language** Choose the creator’s gender, age range, vibe and speaking style from your personas, then one of 9 lip-synced languages.
3. **Write the script or use Write with AI** Draft the hook and voice-over yourself, or let Write with AI generate a brief seeded from your brand voice.
4. **Generate and export** Render in 9:16, download the MP4, and run it on TikTok, Reels, Shorts or Meta.

The UGC ad guide

### Why UGC ads work, and how to make them without a shoot

UGC (user-generated content) ads look like a normal person recommending a product to a friend. They work because they don't look like ads. People trust a face and a real-sounding voice more than a logo and a slogan, and on TikTok, Reels and Shorts they blend into the feed instead of standing out as an interruption.

### The problem with hiring creators

Real creators are great, but the process is slow and expensive when you need volume:

| | Hiring creators | AdVideoLab UGC mode |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Cost per video | Often $150 to $500 per creator video | A 10 s 720p video is 220 credits |
| Time to first video | Days to weeks (briefing, shipping product, filming, edits) | Minutes |
| Variations | Each one costs extra | Change the brief and render again |
| Languages | A new creator per market | 9 languages with lip-sync |
| Product needed | You ship a sample | A photo is enough |

Creators are still worth hiring for your best-performing concepts. AI UGC is how you find those concepts cheaply first. Our [cost breakdown](https://advideolab.com/blog/ai-ugc-vs-hiring-creators-cost) goes deeper.

### What makes a UGC ad convincing

- **A specific person.** Age, style and setting that match your buyer. In AdVideoLab you can save these as personas so every video casts the same kind of creator.
- **A real setting.** A bathroom shelf, a car, a kitchen counter. Not a white studio.
- **One honest reason.** "It won't leave your skin feeling tight" beats a list of five benefits.
- **Natural speech.** Contractions, short sentences, a pause. Write with AI paces the voice-over to about two and a half words per second so it doesn't sound rushed.

### Three UGC formats worth testing

| Format | The opening line | Good for |
| --- | --- | --- |
| The first look | "Okay, you need to see this." | Most products, cold audiences |
| The problem-solver | "If your hair does this in the rain..." | Products that fix a clear annoyance |
| The objection answer | "Looks pricey? Here's what you get." | Higher-priced products, sceptical buyers |

### How it works in AdVideoLab

1. **Upload your product photo.** A clear shot where the product is easy to see. Packaging with a readable label works best.
2. **Choose UGC mode** and a persona, or describe the creator you want.
3. **Write the brief or click Write with AI.** It looks at your photo and your brand voice and writes the scene, the camera, and what the creator says, timed to the length you picked.
4. **Render.** You get an MP4 in 9:16 (or another ratio) with the creator speaking your script in the language you chose.

If a render fails, the credits come back automatically.

FAQ

### UGC ad generator: common questions

**Is the creator a real person?**

No. The on-camera creator is AI-generated from the persona you pick. You do not need to cast, brief or pay a human creator. If you upload a photo of a real person, our Terms require you to hold the rights and consents for that likeness.

**Can I choose how the creator looks and sounds?**

Yes. A persona sets gender, age range, vibe, speaking style, appearance and setting, and you can swap personas per render. The model casts a new face each time, so expect the same kind of creator rather than the identical person.

**Does the creator say what I write?**

Yes. You control the script. Write it yourself or start from a Write with AI draft, and the creator says it with matching lips in the language you pick.

**How long can the videos be?**

Videos run 4 to 15 seconds on Seedance 2.0 (up to 1080p SR) or 4 to 30 seconds on Seedance 2.5 (480p or 720p). Pick the tier per render on the Generate page.

**How much does it cost?**

Plans are credit-based and self-serve: Starter $55/month for 1,000 credits, Growth $149 for 3,000, Scale $449 for 10,000. There is no free version, but a one-time $3.99 Trial Pass (170 credits) lets you see a real video first. Credits are charged per second of finished video. On Seedance 2.0, 480p costs 10 credits/second, 720p 22 and 1080p 37; on Seedance 2.5, 480p is 13 and 720p 28. A 10-second 480p ad on Seedance 2.0 is 100 credits.

**What do I need to upload?**

One product photo: JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF or HEIC, up to 25 MB. Transition mode takes a first and a last frame, and Reference mode takes a set of images. Photos straight from a phone are converted for you.
